ACCREDITATION & STATE OVERSIGHT

Sheffey College is a religious institution in nature, with the specific goal of training and preparing Christians for a lifetime of ministry service. Therefore, we feel that it would be inappropriate to ask a non-Christian educational system to accredit ministry training. 

It is for this reason that we have sought and received religious exemption status from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) under 8VAC40-31-50 of the Code of Virginia. Sheffey College is exempt from the requirements of state regulation and oversight.
