What is Sheffey College?
Based in Southwest Virginia, Sheffey College is a Bible institution committed to training ministers of the Gospel, whether these ministers will serve as pastors, missionaries, church planters, Christian school teachers, or in the business world, our goal is to prepare students with Scriptural foundational truths that will lead them toward a lifetime of service and Christian success.
We currently offer associate and bachelor's degrees for Christian Education and Pastoral Ministries.
Our inaugural school year will commence in 2023-2024 when we begin offering classes through two methods: Online Distance Learning and in-person traditional classroom studies.
A Bible College founded by local churches for local churches
We are convinced that there exists no greater institution in the entire history of the universe than the local church. In addition to being described by Scripture as the “Bride of Christ”, the local church serves as the single agent through which God has promised to carry out the bulk of His work.
With this idea in mind, it is essential to us that Sheffey College be founded by, under the authority of, and for the benefit of local churches.
In addition to its facilities being housed on the campus of a local church (Freedom Tabernacle in Atkins, Virginia), the founding President of Sheffey College also serves as a local pastor in Wytheville, Virginia.
